    I have seen races where the baton was a:

    Sausage

    Dildo

    A mannequins arm

    A table spoon with a raw egg

    Being in several running clubs I have seen some weirdness.  Google Hash House Harriers for a start, the others I will leave to your internet searches.  The strangest baton passes I have seen are on the groups rides of Dykes on Bikes
