    Probably skunks. We had many city cousins who would come to visit our farm place occasionally and sometimes bring their dog when they had one. Lots of open territory for the dog to explore off leash and the dog always seemed be good at tracking down a skunk and getting sprayed. Then it would be a chore to try washing the scent off as much as we could so the people could tolerate the ride back home in their car.

    Element a bite from these guys is deadly, very deadly.  They can and will drop from trees etc just to bite you..  As an XO on a training exercise had a young Marine die from an qttack from one of these guys.  Cobras are very similar. Never had to write a letter regarding a Cobra however

      You’ve brought up a good point that has me thinking about something near and dear to me: do you think good ol’ Noah might have had a couple of avocados and a couple of earthen jars of mayonnaise on board the Ark?




      Just imagine, if on day one of the voyage someone had tossed those offending items overboard, my entire world would have been a lot shinier and a lot brighter today! Grrrrrrr.

    It happened. Not like in the Bible, but it definitely happened. As I've discussed on here before, all contemporary texts from the region and even as far away as India mention it. Most likely the sudden inundation of the sheltered valley that is now the Black Sea, that was the "whole world" those people knew. Some guy puts mom and the chickens on a barn door and floats the hell outta there, and Chinese Whispers does the rest.
