When was the last time you used an ironing board for its intended purpose?

I'm thinking it's time to get rid of mine.

    In high school so about 30 yrs ago. 
    I have never owned an ironing board.

    I have never used one for its intended purpose unless the real intended purpose of them is to use them as a raft. Once I glued some styofoam to my Grandmother's wooden  ironing board - it worked pretty good but I ran into a problem when I tried to turn  it into a sail boat using my Grandmother's bed sheet (she got pretty mad so that was the problem I ran into,.  Cheers and happy weekend!     Yesterday. I dragged out the ironing board and ironed a shirt and a pair of pants (Hawaiian and khaki, respectively) that I wore this morning. It was the first time in weeks that I’ve ironed anything. Nowadays, weeks or months can go by that I use the ironing board. Before retiring a year ago, I used to iron about once or twice a week or once or twice in a couple of weeks, depending on circumstances. I’m both terrible at ironing and very slow at ironing.
