Have you ever taken the Briggs Personality test?

What did you think of it?  Was it accurate in your case?

They administered those to us when I was in the military. They never released actual results to us, they just allowed you to continue serving if the results met the milspecs* or they pulled you out of the ranks and you disappeared if your results didn’t meet them. No one who stayed got to know what happened to the ones who disappeared, and since I was in the former group, I was satisfied with that.

I doubt, however, that if I were to take those tests today that I would do well; I’d probably be hauled off to some booby hatch somewhere and would never be heard from again.

There are no wrong answers on the Myers Briggs test unless the military only wants people who fit a certain personality profile. This post was edited by Jane S at June 1, 2021 6:07 PM MDT

That’s why I referred to them as results and not right or wrong results.

I can't imagine that anyone hasn't.  Yes, I've taken it.  I give it B for accuracy.  ISTJ

Yes, we took them a few times at work. It seemed accurate to me at the time.

Just what it says. Maybe I have, maybe I haven't.

Personality tests should be taken multiple times over a period of about 3 months then a summary made of the most outstanding characteristics. Just taking the test one time just shows how the person is feeling on that day.

The Luscher color test is quite accurate as well

I just re-took it. I clicked the middle for almost all of them just to see what would happen. I didn't even read half of themMany of the questions did not pertain to me in my present life because I no longer work. There is no 'Not Applicable' choice. The result was ENTJ. I read some of the paragraphs below and much of it was crap.

More than once and I got the same "combo" each time - - IFNJ

I've read that that is a rare one. :)

EDIT: and maybe it's INFJ, and not IFNJ. I know I've read it's a rare one.

    Are you an A or a T?

From the little I just read (I didn't know what 'A' and 'T' meant), the Assertive and Turbulent aspects (added to the Myers-Briggs) have come up in relatively recent years. I took the tests quite a while ago. So, if 'A' and 'T' are those two, I don't know which, if either, I might be.

I was really surprised at my results.  They were pretty accurate, I am an A.

I'm not sure if I'm happy about them however, I have to give it more thought.
