Is there anything you would not likely do just because you have a fear or phobia of doing it?

Not likely I would swim across the ocean alone due to my fear of being eaten by sharks or swallowed by a whale.

    Yeah cross over a body of water on a bridge. I have a crazy fear about that  so I have to cross by boat or plane and a few times when a bridge was the only option  a friend ruppied me so I wouldn't freak out. Cheers! This post was edited by Nanoose at June 20, 2021 6:33 PM MDT

    I don't fear heights, just falling.

    It's the sudden deceleration that I'm afraid of. This post was edited by Walt O'Reagun at June 22, 2021 10:33 PM MDT

    My  7 year older brother leaped from a plane in  1977 and I saw him land and holding his head while walking off the field holding his parachute. When he landed, he hit his head too in Orange Massachusetts. I wouldn't dive now. Or scuba dive like he does too. It takes about half an hour to put the suit on. Riding in a balloon, anything related to be high up in the air such as a sling shot ride or a two seater plane scares me to death.  Being in a body of water and unable to see the land.  Swimming in the ocean without swimming fins.

    I would not enter a room full of naked, grossly obese women.

    Quite a few things, yes.

    I'm not going to any gun ranges, shops or shows. None of those 'escape rooms' for me, either.

      I burned the gold-inlaid invitation that was sent to me to attend the Mayonnaise and Guacamole Convention being held at the Vegemite Valley Meeting Hall in Fremantle, Australia on July 9th to 11th, 2021. I don’t know who sent it to me, but I think it’s a trap.

      It’s self-preservation. (Wait, maybe you’re in on the plot. You’re the Canadian Connection. Grrrrrrr.)

    Just about any activity that could end in broken bone(s).
    I have an extreme fear of compound fractures. {shudder}

    Oh, man. I think I might have just caught that fear from you! But I'm not going to stop doing certain things, so now I just have another thing to worry about! Thanks a lot.

    Swim in the ocean.  Just think how many fish (they estimate that there are 3.5 Trillion fish) have peed and poo'd in it.  It would be like swimming in sewage.

    So dilute that it's cleaner than any inland waterway or swimming pool.

    Be completely alone for an extended period. Nothing much scares me, but that does.
