Australia is the only country that’s also its own continent.  Sorry, European Union, Australia’s way ahead of you.

Australia has platypuses and echidnas, which are the only two mammals that lay eggs, so I guess that makes them the only two animals that can make their own custard.  Yum.

It has the world’s longest fence.  It’s 5614 km long, so they’ve gone to some great lengths to keep Randy and his suitcase full of peanut butter from getting very far. This post was edited by Livvie at July 16, 2021 12:01 PM MDT

(Only one typographical error; good job.)

By the way, one measly suitcase is woefully insufficient for indoctrinating the entire population of Australia, but if I’m headed for Slart’s place, it’s a good start.

Wrong you are, Randy.  When I reread my post, I found not one, but TWO typographical errors, both of which I have corrected.

No, I caught one of those typos before you did and everybody knows it.

No, I caught both of those typos before you did and I just didn’t want to make you look bad or feel bad so I said there was only one in an attempt to save your fragile ego, and everybody knows it.

No, you were doing your nightly grammar policeman shift at Yum Yum Donuts and some strawberry donut filling dropped onto your screen and covered it up.  That’s why you didn’t see it.  Just admit it, Randy.

ExCUUUUSE, me, you have my department confused with regular police officers! We here at the Grammar Police go for sandwiches, thank you very much. You’re just wrong all day long. Grrrrrrr.

I stand corrected.  You did finish the sandwiches you ordered before you started eating the strawberry jelly donut that dripped filling onto your screen.

Aye, they do.   My nephew's wife is Australian.  When they visit, I can comprehend what she says (english), but not the terms she uses (but I love her  accent).

  • Australia is the flattest continent and geologically the oldest. Australia and New Guinea are the only places in the world where all three major kinds of mammals can be found (placental, marsupial, and monotreme), though Australia has more marsupials than any other place in the world.  This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at July 16, 2021 4:56 PM MDT
