No matter how hard “they” try, what is a topic that cannot be politicized, or is very difficult to politicize?

I’m sure that can be made into something political if you look hard enough.

In my area it goes like this:
Me "Wanna a coke?"
Friend "Yeah"
Me "What kind?"
Friend "7Up"

While this may not fit the actual definition of politicization, the paper clip has been used as a symbol of national allegiance in the past.  In Nazi-occupied France during WWII, wearing a paper clip on one’s lapel was a sign of the resistance, so the Nazis arrested anyone wearing paper clips on their lapels. I want to thank contributor Livvie for that information, about which I was not aware, but I would add that the question/discussion is expressed in the present tense, which I answered accordingly.
