Has someone ever thrown things at you with the intent to harm you?

I was on the sidewalk when a guy walking in the middle of the street started throwing small rocks at people on the sidewalk. Fortunately noone was hit then a couple of guys went after him. They all disappeared out of sight about a block away so after that I don't know what happened. There are some nutcases around this area!

    NYC has had a problem with people being randomly attacked, not so much with things thrown at them, but physical attacks and they're happening in the middle of the day in mid-town Manhattan.  It is truly out of control lately.  As for me, only once did a couple of high school kids throw snowballs at me when they were walking four abreast and I couldn't get by them.  I told them to move over and when they passed me, they threw the snowballs.  None hit me, but when I turned around and asked them if they had the b**s to do it to my face, they ran off.

    I realized afterwards that there were four of them and they could have easily come after me and done me physical harm.  After that, I just walked home from the subway on a different street.

    If you can dodge a wrench you can dodge a ball. I watched the movie dodge ball  the other day for the third time  I always find it pretty funny. Cheers!

    Before she learned to meditate, my better half could be mercurial. Postnatal psychosis after our twins were stillborn - like post-partum depression that DOESN'T go away by itself. She did throw a chair at me once.

  • I had another passenger with a short fuse on Friday.  He didn't want to wear his mask.  I think I still have hearing loss from the volume of his yelling.   Passengers with short fuses are becoming the norm.

  • I had two passengers last week who became wicked because they didn't want to wear masks.  I didn't write the law that requires passengers to wear masks, but the law requires me to enforce it.

    Well I guess you can't throw them off the plane. I imagine there is a law that passengers MUST wear masks so then about all you can do is get their names and make a report.

      Thanks, Element 99, but notwithstanding the ham and cheese sandwich connection here, I am more likely to intervene on the side of the flight attendants and the other passengers, especially when some idiot is being verbally abusive, cursing, threatening, and most of all, actively violent.

      “Quick, where’s the duct tape? Pass me the duct tape! Grrrrrrrr.



    (And hold that sandwich, too.  Cough, cough.)
