My statement at the time was about a story I had heard -- an employer had a special surprise birthday party for an employee with co-workers and the employee ended up feeling uncomfortable and he ended up suing the employer.
I'm brain dead at moment - - saw some other posted you had for some of my questions- - will get back to you. Thanks! :)

Oh, wow! I'll bet there is more to the story than you read. Maybe some sort of personal history between them, or maybe the employee has some issues people didn't know about.
I'm just being me, always trying to give people the benefit of the doubt.
I'm a real big believer in Human Capital. If a employer makes their employees feel special and appreciated they will take pride in their work and the company will profit. Cheers!
Yes, agreed. :) My statement at the time was about a story I had heard -- an employer had a special surprise birthday party for an employee with co-workers and the employee ended up feeling uncomfortable and he ended up suing the employer.
I think after I had originally posted this question, I found out that the employee had shared with employers that he had social anxiety issues at times. Still, I don't know if I would have sued. But I'm not in that situation, I guess. :)
