Which kind of body of water would be your preference to have a home on the shore of; a lake, a river or the great huge salty ocean?

If you happen to be an old sea dog and know how to listen carefully, you can hear the ocean spin her yarns of great sea ventures of ye great glorious olden days of wooden ships and sail.

You do realize, don’t you, that I am not the person who named the place, right?

I already live close to a lake and a river, but not along a shore. I wouldn't mind having a beach home in Malibu.

On a completely unrelated note, would you believe that by simply adding a single letter to the end of the pronoun “Malibu”, it becomes an adjective in a foreign language that means “randy”? It’s true.

Me too.  In a place that is not too cold or too hot, with plenty of friendly sea creatures.

Ocean. I used to enjoy surfing, probably couldn't stand up on a board now. There's no surf in Adelaide to practice on. Way up the gulf, it's slop.
