Ever have to think twice about what something means?

My first thought here was 'who would want to be immersed in maple syrup'? Canadians?

After maple syrup immersion then teams are made up for a sticky game of tug-0-war.

Yes I have...especially when I am trying to figure out wildlife behaviour. I am a front porch naturalist.

Are there lots of wild animals in Toledo?

Last fall, I had a large buck staring at me on my front lawn...two nights in a row.

Had a koala in our front yard a few years back. That's unusual in the suburbs.

Is showing a loaded spigot really a good way to attract youth?

I've thought twice and I still don't get what you mean.

The picture posted is showing a maple spigot (sometimes called a "tap") pointing out like a gun.  Since there's a drop of sap showing, the spigot is "loaded".  The ad is for the YMCA, thus youth.

Sometimes, but not that. I'm allergic to bee and wasp stings, so I'm not for attracting them en masse.

This made me laugh.  I wouldn't want to be immersed in maple syrup but it is the only sugar I have in my house.  I love it on vanilla ice cream and 100 other ways.  We've been big fans of it for many many years.  It's a little pricey but it's the only syrup you will ever find in my kitchen.

    But no immersion please!

Yes! This book says so! The internet knows everything reconstructing all our knowledge as unattainable. This post was edited by CosmicWunderkind at May 10, 2022 8:46 PM MDT

Yes and when everyone else's answers don't make sense that puts my take on the situation right back as #1.  A married, godly man is NOT going to flirt with a single woman, not this one anyway.  I'll never believe that in a million years.   This post was edited by Honey Dew at May 10, 2022 8:46 PM MDT

With this T-shirt pretty well summing up my usual thinking patterns, it'd be a wonderfully healthy goal for me to think only twice.    :)

(And with your example, your first thought was my first thought.)

  • I had a different first thought about people who love to be immersed in syrup. They exist. Learning about that might not have been possible without the internet.

I have thought that way about every single restraining order you’ve ever filed against me. Well, not just twice, more accurately five times . . .
