A unanimous decision by SCOTUS (9-0), did you think it ever happens today?

It just did. Long live freedom of speech.

Why do you make these comments in a vacuum?  What 9-0 decision are you talking about?

It is about the city of Boston not flying the flag of Camp Constitution. Camp Constitution’s website posts materials questioning the effectiveness of Covid-19 vaccines, claiming the US Capitol attack was a cover-up for “massive” 2020 election fraud, and calling Japan’s 1941 Pearl Harbor attack and al-Qaida’s 11 September 2001 attacks carefully orchestrated false flags. I wouldn't want to fly their flag either. Cheers!

They were discriminated against because of their being a religious organization nothing was claimed about covid or other opinions that may or may not be held by the group leaders.  I did not see anything you listed on their website.

It was a Christian organization that was forbidden to fly this flag on public property in Boston. The city was allowing different organizations to fly their flags on the property.  But they chose to forbid the Christian organization. This was ruled as discrimination based on religion.

My point was the surprise that there was anything all nine Justices could actually agree on.

Edit - a SO-CALLED "Christian" organization that openly disseminates lies and misinformation. That's "bearing false witness against thy neighbour" and the families of the victims of the 9/11 attacks (and descendants of the servicemen and women killed at Pearl Harbor) should sue them to smithereens for libel.

This was not the reason the city refused the flag. They refused to fly the flag specifically because it was a Christian flag.
I do not know what they do or do not claim but I have not seen these claims on their website. It is not the point of the ruling.

The city used the establishment of religion in the 1st amendment as the reason for the discrimination....SCOTUS said this is not legal. This post was edited by my2cents at May 4, 2022 6:40 PM MDT

I suppose you never heard of separation of church and state.  No religious organization should be permitted to fly their religious flag on a public building.

Take it up with  SCOTUS  all of them. They ALL disagree with you.

There are a lot of people who disagree with me.  It doesn't make them all right.

It is a subject all 9 agreed on.  From the liberal justices to the conservative ones.  All of them said it was discrimination based on religion. It is very rare for a 9-0 decision.
