What do you think Trump will have to say about Brian Kemp defeating David Perdue in Georgia?

I'm not sure what he will say but it will probably contain profanity. Cheers!

Unfortunately, he still has too tight a grip on the GOP.

I was just reading about how some people are saying that the Georgia defeat could mean that Trump's days of being a King maker are over. And I think that is crazy talk - the US is not Britain so it doesn't make kings it makes servants of the people. So I will finish with a song from the Queen Charlotte Islands.- Hey ya high ya hey ya high ya where were you when the sun went down and gave this land to the people not the kings and queens. Hey ya high ya hey ya high ya  We hear your words and your words are hollow - hey ya high ya hey ya high ya . Cheers!

    His record it pretty good.
    108-10. = 90%

In GA, thousands of people who voted in the Dem primary last time voted in the Rep primary this time. It is illegal...nope. Is it fraud...nope.   But does it explain loses there...yep.

Several states have open primaries. Smart system that disenfranchises fewer people. More people turning out and voting should be considered a positive thing, regardless of the outcome.

I did not complain about the system. I prefer the open primary system.   My state is completely open.....we do not register with any party when register to vote.
I have from time to time voted in the Dem primary to try remove a candidate.   It is a strategy many people use if it is an option.

Here in Ohio, we have to declare a party or we can only vote on the issues.

Yes. I think most states are that way to vote in the primaries.
My sister found that out in 2008 when she went to vote in the Rep primary in IL and was told she could only vote in the Dem.  Whoever helped her register just marked Dem without asking her.   IL has open primaries now.

Kemp is the brother-in-law of my friend of about 30 years who's a Georgia state senator, so I'm cool with it.

Probably something similar to what Scott 'Scummo' Morrison said privately when he got is a$$ handed to him last weekend, after Labor's Anthony Albanese (a friend of mine) thrashed him to become Australia's new Prime Minister.
Unlike His Royal Orangeness, Morrison had the grace to concede defeat and congratulate his opponent when it became obvious that he'd lost. This post was edited by Slartibartfast at May 26, 2022 7:28 AM MDT

Is Australia's labour party sort of like Canada's NDP party? Cheers! This post was edited by Nanoose at May 26, 2022 7:28 AM MDT

Labor (no "u", the trade unionists who founded the Party couldn't spell) is analogous to Britain's Labour Party. Slightly to the left of your Liberals.
In Australia, the conservative party is oddly named the Liberal Party, despite being slightly less liberal than Mussolini. They have never ever governed in their own right, having been dependent on the National Party in coalition since inception. The Nationals used to be called the Country Party, and as the name suggests are inbred hayseed hillbillies.
The Liberal Party's moderates were mostly trounced at last weekend's election, which will probably see the party lurch even further to the Right - gifting the middle ground where most of the electorate lives to Labor for at least a decade. "Albo" is the first genuinely left of centre PM in more than a generation.

Liberal there is likely  a shortened version of Libertarian or what some refer to as a classic conservative.
