Nope, but you wouldn't be invited inside.

I'd probably yell "hey, aren't you that kid from Taxi Driver?!"

I just watched Casablanca. "Of all the trash bags in all the bins in all of Minneapolis, he walks into mine..."

I'm not quite obsessed with the picture, but feel guilty if it's on TV and I'm not watching it. Especially because I'm still trying to figure out where the heck you are!

The scene where DeNiro talks to the Secret Service agent. I’m in the back in blue jeans and reddish orange shirt, arms folded. Go on YouTube and search for Taxi Driver Secret Service. This post was edited by Stu Spelling Bee at January 28, 2023 4:35 PM MST

Don't have to look it up - that was my prime suspect all along! Thanks for being so specific, hehe. Fantastic movie.

Is that when you decided to join the Grammar Police Force? "Hey Bobby, 'you talking to me' is not a complete sentence."

Good thought, but no! I was 15 in July 1975, and filming was being done around the corner from my house in Brooklyn. I was on my way to the grocery store at my mother’s request and stopped to watch. I was pretty surprised when I got back to school in the fall and my schoolmates said they had seen me in the film!

Haha, I can only imagine! Had it been me, I would probably have been worried for a moment - about where they saw me - until I recalled the shoot.

Hey, isn't that Stu? - Nah, that's Robert De Niro. - No, I mean, behind him!

I was just thinking how it's one thing if my old man is stuck in the seventies, but how did it happen to me? Without wanting to romanticize it, or neglect how Taxi Driver depicts that NYC at night, it still seems like a more creative, free-flowing time.

The fun thing about it all these years later is asking people like coworkers if they wanted to see me when I was 15, and then sharing the clip.

The only way this story gets any better is if you came home too late, and got into more trouble for blaming it on some "Charles Palantine" running for president.

I wouldn't toss you, but I'd tell you to go sit on the curb.

Nope, I wouldn’t touch you at ALL, I’d just tell you to go toss yourself! (Into the garbage, of course.) Grrrrrrr.

For some reason I thought of this scene:
    5. Feedsacks in the 1950's

Absolutely.  Without giving out TMI, The Mistress has fulfilled other subs’ desires to get tossed in the trash, so it’s nothing new.
