When I was in kindergarten, I thought that if you leaned up against or even touched a telephone pole, you would get electrocuted.
When I was about 6 or 7 years old, I thought that if my parents had $100 in the bank, it meant we were a rich family. That specific amount, no more, no less.

When I was a few years old, I thought all of the mythical creatures lived on the other side of the mountains in Colorado. On my family trips to Colorado, no matter how high I swung on the swings, I couldn’t see over the mountains, but when I asked my parents if they would take me to the other side of the mountains, they always said “no”. They were hiding something from me, I knew it. For some reason, they didn’t want me to visit the unicorns and the mermaids. I gave up when dad sat me down in front of the computer and gave me an online geography lesson.
