Where are you on the political spectrum and which candidate do you agree with the most (and the least)?

It’s a quiz!  https://www.isidewith.com

It’s actually a fairly long quiz compared to the quizzes I normally post but I love quizzes anyway, even political ones, even though I’m generally not a fan of arguing about politics.

You don’t have to be from the US to take this.  It works for other countries as well.

This question was inspired by this discussion: https://answermug.com/forums/topic/140924/i-guess-i-am-an-extremist-how-about-you

My results (probably not even close to anybody else’s results):

I haven't decided yet, need to do more research. So far Tim Scott has my vote, Cory Stapelton is a big maybe, need to research him more.  This post was edited by . at August 3, 2023 9:55 AM MDT

Thank you, however I don't take quizzes online.

Ok.  But this one is not your typical online quiz
It seems to be accurate. And shows you the candidates who closest match YOUR positions.  And gives the information about each candidate and how it made those matches. It is good for research.

I'm slightly left of center on social issues and slightly right of center on financial issues.  I don't think any one candidate fills the bill for me.  What I do know is that I would vote for any Democrat over Donald Trump.

I don't know why they only put the one right candidate on my map. Granted he is the right candidate.   But he us not who they have as my top match. This post was edited by my2cents at August 2, 2023 5:26 AM MDT

It put me alongside Marianne Williamson. I'd not heard of her before.
I'm decidedly left of centre, don't need a quiz to tell me that.

If your star in the circle is touching Marianne Williamson’s picture, it’s just as I suspected, you’re pretty close to being the exact opposite of my2cents.  That’s probably not news, is it? lol.

No, I don't think we needed a quiz to know that.  Lol

Same as Slarti. I'd also never heard of her.

Surprising. She’s one of the five or six candidates for the Democratic nomination. This post was edited by Stu Spelling Bee at August 2, 2023 8:38 PM MDT

    Definitely not GOP!

I read a bit about her. It all sounded good and mostly in line with my core beliefs and political leanings. I then read that she's recently lost key players in her campaign staff amidst allegations of abusive behavior, some of which she's admitted to, citing 'room for personal growth'. While I do value the demonstration of accountability, it doesn't sound like she is currently suitable for the job. Character counts. We don't need another tantrum-thrower in the White House!

An incumbent first term President invariably gets the nomination unless he decides not to run. This post was edited by Slartibartfast at August 3, 2023 5:24 AM MDT
