    There are several (5 or 6) states whose deadlines for ballot access has passed.  I believe they will ignore their laws and allow the changes.

    Those laws are completely wrong, the major parties don't officially nominate a candidate before their National Conventions.

    The Convention was pushed back this year for some reason.  DNC should have made their convention within the state laws....they knew them when they scheduled their convention.

    I looked it up for sure and the news was gaslighting.  Several of the states deadlines for Republicans are in July but all but one for the Dems is in Aug and Sept.

    1. She married Doug when she was 49. A little long in the tooth to be thinking about children, wouldn't you say? A LOT of career women decide that motherhood is not for them.

    2. Completely legal, otherwise Gerald Ford's Presidency was also illegal - he succeeded to tge Oval Office without being elected either as President OR Veep.

    3. Hating plastic straws is a good thing, I hate them too.

    4. She's Veep. Usually the first candidate when the President either dies, resigns, completes 2 terms or decides not to seek re-election.

    States should not have deadlines earlier than the DNC and RNC. The same laws disqualify Vance from being Veep - hear the crickets?

    They laws did not change.  The laws have been there.  It is up to the parties to schedule accordingly.   

    But just to put your mind at ease.  We have the electoral college.  We vote for electors to vote in the EC.  Those electors will vote who whoever the nominees are whether the name was officially updated or not. 

    We had a candidate for state office who died before election but too late to change the ballots. The gov announced that a vote for the dead politician would be counted and if he won, his daughter would be appointed to the office.   This is what happened by the way.  

    In states that do not change the name, voters will know their electors will vote for Harris IF the Dem win their state.

    And I can think of plenty of reasons why I don't think Donald Trump should be POTUS, too.

    How about he's a convicted felon, for starters? Each of them carries a minimum sentence of a year behind bars, so why isn't he wearing a jumpsuit to match his skin tone?

    Sentencing  is postponed until Sept...may not even happen.

I did not want to be part of that nor did I think those comments belonged on this site.     Joe Biden is used the terms diversity,  equality and inclusion (DEI) in relation to VP Harris.  Personally,  I think merit should be part of it but that just IMHO.
