What is something you admit to yourself is trivial, yet, you let it irritate you?

Me --  The "new" front car/vehicle headlights that go completely out and turn colors, and turn into blinking turn signals when driver wishes to turn. I find them very distracting and I let them irritate me.

And, also irritating to me -- I searched a long time attempting to find a simple "gif" of one of these headlights "in action." I failed.

I haven't noticed anything like this, so I did some reading. As I understand it, it's the daytime running lights, that go out to supposedly make the turn signal more visible. I will look for them before I decide if they're irritating.

I haven't seen those headlights.  What I do find irritating are the seemingly high beams that literally sear your retinas when they're on oncoming cars.

When I'm driving at night, and the approaching, seemingly constant huge high beams are flooding my face, I sometimes feel like saying,

" Mr. DeMille, I'm ready for my close-up."

Around where I live, many of the headlights go out at night, too.
I'll keep trying to find a gif of them.

And I do understand and appreciate the logic for them - - like you said, it's to make the turn signals more visible.

The list of things that others think are trivial yet bother me no end is too long to list here.

Nothing in my life is trivial and everything irritates me at this point.

A$$hats who leave shopping trolleys (carts) in parking bays when there is a corral a few feet away. Criminal laziness.

The existence of chewing gum. I hate seeing people chewing it and I hate the sight of chewed gum.

Can be useful in situations where your mouth can get dry and you can't access a drink quickly. The cricket pitch or baseball diamond, for example.

I didn’t “sneak” in!  Well, technically speaking, I didn’t. I prefer to classify it as having invited myself over in a pleasantly surprising way. Grrrrrrr.

You could have at least cleaned up a bit, folded my clothing and not eaten my licorice, that was a low blow.  Are you trying to say I was in a sugar coma and ate the licorice myself without realizing?  Hummm that could be.

    What was the surprise?
