Glutton for punishment, eh?  I wouldn't waste my time listening to his lies because that's all he will say.

Well I can be a glutton for punishment – like it took me 40 years to start wearing a hockey helmet. But gluttony is not why I will watch. What he says could effect my well being so I want to know about it ASP. I’m also interested in seeing if he is losing any support in the republican party because of the crazy things he has been saying. And if there is a press conference after the address it could be real telling of things to come. And he might say something that will come back to bite him. Plus Trump is like a deep well of jokes to me. So I bet I will have a 1001 jokes about him by the end of the night. Cheers!

Unfortunately, what he says affects me, too, but that will be the case whether I watch him or not and I can't stand to look at him, let alone listen to him.  I'm happy to hear a synopsis of his speech.

If I thought there was a snowball's chance in hell of him telling the truth or giving a coherent explanation of how his administration is on the side of the American people, I might have considered it. So, no, I'm not going to watch.

If I wanted to listen to an incoherent, babbling racist who's mentally incapable of finishing a sentence of self indulgent BS before starting another, I'd go visit my uncle Bob at the institution during visiting hours

I bet all you folks that didn’t watch the address last night are kicking your self's this morning. Because you missed a lot of important information – like the bit about a school that preformed a sex change on a student without the consent of the parents. Or the bit about how he is going to get rid of all the un appointed bureaucrats (Musk really clapped about that one). Cheers!

I heard I missed him using a kid with cancer caused by chemicals as a prop. Didn't he just deregulate those chemicals and stop funding research for cancer in children?  What point was he making?

Yeah that was pretty heart warming until Trump had Bobby Kennedy stand up. I think that was part of Trump’s point – he picked the right person to take care of American’s health. Trump did deregulate cancer causing chemicals and stopped funding research for cancer. He also deregulated substances that cause lung damage (asbestos). So maybe next address he will use a kid with lung disease as a prop.

    Cheers!

    Not what he said:

My administration is also working to protect children from toxic ideologies in our schools. A few years ago, January Littlejohn and her husband discovered that their daughter’s school had secretly socially transitioned their 13-year-old little girl. Teachers and administrators conspired to deceive January and her husband while encouraging their daughter to use a new name and pronouns--they/them pronouns, actually — or without telling January, who is here tonight and is now a courageous advocate against this form of child abuse. January, thank you. Thank you.

That kind of claim hurts everyone on whichever side, but I've been commenting enough for now...

    At best!

(Psst — do you think this is some adults' equivalent of sharing ghost stories?)

Gee... I missed hearing lies and disinformation, as well as a fool gloating.   Sure glad I don't have TV anymore.

Not a chance. It is not my president and I wouldn't walk across the street to pee on its shadow.

If you have 15 minutes to spare, FOX posted this speech by Bernie Sanders after Trump's address.

Could be that this reinforces the point. But the problem with anyone opposing the means of the obscenely wealthy is that people can always point at them and ask: "Do you really need three pairs of shoes? Well, then you're a hypocrite for saying I shouldn't have three private jets."

I don't care what other people do/buy with their money.  As long as, they got their money legally.

But a communist being a millionaire is funny to me.
