Could Trump still do his YMCA dance if he becomes the Pope?

Lately Trump has been “joking” that he would like to be the Pope. And today he posted an image on Truth Social of him as Pope. I bet the catholic church found it disturbing. And I had a laugh imaging Trump as a YMCA dancing Pope. Cheers and happy weekend!

I was just thinking that maybe Trump wants to be Pope because the job comes with a Popemobile.

He could drive around town while doing his YMCA dance for everyone to see.

    Cheers and happy weekend!

That will cause some further divide ends when the MAG's can't agree with themselves too much self-centered and invested self-interests divisiveness individuality at stake for survival of the me only me failed tribulars mindset. Maybe I don't understand human into wrack shuns. Demotivate meandering never landing. Hearing can't standing pop up mop up. Selective intelligence the art of omitting. Picky and pushy palindrome. Fuck Trump! Fuck Musk! This post was edited by CosmicWunderkind at May 4, 2025 1:26 AM MDT

A lot of the GOP are defending Trump by claiming Trump was just joking when he posted an AI photo of himself dressed as the Pope. Personally I don’t get the joke and I bet the 1.4 billion Catholics didn’t get the joke either. Cheers!

They don't find a joke about their beloved leader who just died funny? What's wrong with them?  What if Trump died and Mark Carney posted a photo of himself in the Oval Office, wouldn't that be hilarious?

I was thinking after the Cardinals make their decision for a new Pope they should announce that it is Donald J Trump the 2nd. Then after a few days announce – ha ha we had our fingers crossed – we would never pick Trump as the new Pope. Cheers!

I heard Trump brought a bag of birdseed to bribe the Cardinals.

Yep and that bag of birdseed cost American tax payers a bit more because of Trump’s tariffs. Cheers!

Mark Carney wouldn't make fun of the dead. But maybe it would be funny if Carney wore a 4 Nations Face-Off championship game jersey when he meets with Trump (Trump wasn’t happy about the results of that game).
The last couple of days Trump has been back on the old - Canada should be the 51st state thing. He is about to meet with a big trading partner and that’s what he is talking about. Cheers!

    I

I'm not a Christian and I found this offensive, so I can only imagine how Catholics must feel.  I saw this on Facebook today.

The Dalai Lama is almost 90. I wonder if Trump will get a chance to mock him as well.

I wouldn't be surprised if Trump has no idea there is such a thing as a Dalai Lama.  Ergo, he won't be attending the funeral, assuming he would even be invited. This post was edited by Spunky at May 5, 2025 9:10 AM MDT

In the past Trump has done and said a lot of things that people found highly offensive. And he always claims that he was just joking. But this time he is going to get so much backlash because no one will find it funny – that he will try something new. Maybe he will claim that since imitation is the sincerest form of flattery he was honoring the Pope by dressing up like him. Cheers!

If he does, that wouldn't shock me.

I'm a Christian and I find this terribly offensive.
My point: I think you may be correct. Both Christians and non-Christians can find this offensive.

I find it terribly wrong and rude.
And not funny at all, regardless if some others may defend him by saying he was joking. Including the man himself.

If anything, I find the timing bad.

He also managed to offend Star Wars fans.

Well because of Trump’s tariffs his lightsaber is dimming.

The majority of batteries sold in the US are imported from China. And most of the lithium-ion the US uses to make batteries is also imported. Good luck fighting the Empire with a dim lightsaber Donald. Cheers!

I note that Trump's lightsaber is RED - the mark of a Sith.

I'm not a Star Wars fan, so I had to look this up. Based on what the colors symbolize, that would be the correct color.

Has to be red because of GOP.

But there have been more than one Jedi who used a red saber.

Nope. Kyber crystals only "bleed" when infused with the dark side of the Force. That's Canon. No Jedi ever wielded a red. This post was edited by Slartibartfast at May 7, 2025 4:21 AM MDT

Some Jedi are explicitly shown using red lightsabers in Legends, however. This includes Adi Gallia, Even Piell, Depa Billaba, A’Sharad Hett, and even Luke Skywalker.

And yet, Lucas sold licensed toys with Jedi Masters with her Red Saber.

Luke used his father Anakin's blue until he lost it when his hand was severed on Bespin. The one he crafted on Tatooine to replace it was green.
Anybody can use a borrowed saber but only a Sith can construct a red one. A REFORMED Sith, like Mara Jade (Luke's wife in legends) can continue to use that, it was hers that Luke borrowed briefly. Anakie decapitated Dooku using his own saber before he turned. No Jedi wields a red saber by choice, they can't make one.

Adi Gallia made hers, not borrowed....She is a Jedi Master.  Not a reformed sith etc.
