LMAO I kid you not. They used their real company email address to join and then promoted their website and then sent me a message asking why I suspended them. I'm kind of at a loss for words here. Help me out, guys.
*Face Palm*
Tell them the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
Probably so he doesn't talk bad about you elsewhere, would just be professional and say you were suspended for spam, and leave it at that..and also...wow, you can't make that stuff up! :O
I guess it could fall under spam...
This is the second time tonight I used the term ballsy, but that's what this person is. I would be honest with them and simply tell them they have the biggest balls of anyone you've ever encountered. They'll either take it as a compliment or as an insult or they might even thank you for being so honest. That's my best advice. ;)
Oh I am speechless & that don't happen very often. I am not sure if I am speechless cause they were stupid enough to use their company email or stupid enough to ask why they were suspended after promoting their site. I had to read what ya wrote twice. I stiff can't really wrap my head around it.
Because that's not the way we do business ... to quote Biggles
"We don't subject our members, who are here to socialize, to members who are here merely for free advertising."
That is spam. If they want to advertise, tell them how to set it up and how you will be compensated.
I'm not sure why you did. I think they could have used you on their site too. Maybe you should charge them. If they want free advertising, charge them a blanket fee of $500.
I would.
Why not ask to join their site and then promote AnswerMug?
It's only fair to provide one though, don't you think? I would if I was the site's owner.
just tell them the truth
Are you scared or why would you close someone's account? You have nothing to be afraid of if you are nice to everyone. If you suspend people who are not nice they can destroy your business. If we treat others the way we want to be treated God will bless us and people are nicer to us. I would tell them the truth.
@Jane - because if the owner is the one from the "Bunny Killer" site, maybe he has finally realized that he's down to about 15 active members and, if he doesn't get in some new blood, he can pack his bags and skedaddle.
I would just say that promotions are spam and you don't allow that to be snuck into the blogs or question stream. First you allow someone who has their own social media site to sneak in, and the next thing you know the question board is filled with ads for male enhancement pills and mail order brides.
