No but I spent a week having to sit in waiting room that was so crowded and hot that it felt like I was in a third world police station. Finally my number was called for interview and I luckily didn't get picked.
well needless to say they don't like it...but there are circumstances when it's allowed not to serve.... i am not saying it's right.. i think the general presumption is that one should do it if at all possible
I have been summoned. I have appeared for jury duty. I have been placed in a trial pool. I have been stricken and I have been accepted and actually sat for that trial. I have answered this question many times.
Twice. Once in an attempted murder trial - found the defendant guilty. The second time was a statutory rape trial plus 11 other charges. We found him guilty on four charges, not guity on three charges and the jury couldn't agree on the rest.
