Discussion»Questions»Politics» For those of you that follow politics, what is your best source you use to keep up to date? A non-biased source seen as reliable.
Very good point ... Probably just a pipe dream to think any non-biased exist. I've even started searching more on the internet newspaper sources, than cable news. Thanks :)
As I suggested to Jett, try www.realclearpolitics.com. The site brings together links and pieces from all across the spectrum and does a great job of aggregating polls to minimize bias.
The Times in the UK is noted as being one of the least biased... they generally offer both sides.. BBC in the UK too is heavily scrutinised to make sure they are always fair.. . Other sources generally make their bias pretty clear...
So I tried that as a source---and learned nothing.
Apparently he's watching just a closed loop of Truman's World. Ask the goldfish sitting next to him for a summary---the fish has a longer attention span than the guy who has only today been referred to as the "yellow yam."
You should listen to a variety of sources that openly admit what they stand for and then make up your own mind what your views are.
There is no such thing as the political center. It's a myth. Any source that claims to be fair, balanced, even handed, non biased, showing both sides etc etc is just trying to manipulate you and should be ignored.
You shouldn't be influenced by how widely held an opinion is. Most people are completely clueless. You can't find truth by following the herd. You have to go your own way.
The mainstream media should be ignored. It's just a cartel of mega corporations engaging in mass propaganda in order to shape the world according to their interests. Small independent media operations are the way to go.
