What do you do if you are scared financially? I trusted in God and he helped me.

I was young with two small kids. My husband decided to move in with a girl he met at the store. I had a part time job making $400 a month. I prayed to God to give me wisdom. He told me in my heart, and in the Bible to put God first in everything even my money, so I did. I gave 10 % to the church which was going to make me low on my rent in 3 weeks. But in the Bible, book of Micah, it says "I challenge you to trust me, give me your first and I will pour down heaven for you" so I trusted him. After 2 weeks I received a knock on my door. A lady that I had given a ride to visit her friend in a nursing home a couple of times had died she said, and she wanted to give me all the money from the gift she had inherited from her friend $22,000. I could pay my rent. God never fails us...I have challenged God by putting all my eggs in Jesus basket. It was the right basket!

You have no need for God? One day you might need his help. It might be too late.

He is not a puppet who you call on when you need help and ignore when you don't.

I said I have no need for belief. It just happens that God is not needed as an explanation for anything.

This "one day you'll be sorry" stuff is nothing but a scare tactic for the easily confused and weak minded.

That testimony sounds pretty good but when I was attending a Pentecostal church some years ago I heard some testimonies that would make you turn green with envy. People were always trying to outdo each other bragging about how good God was to them.
I think a lot of the church people actually believed some of these stories were true. The pastor loved it because he was raking in lots dough from people suckered into believing their large donations would result in huge financial benefits for them in due time. Rarely if ever happened so I guess they would make up some sort of story that would sound good for a testimony anyway.

I am not Pentecostal or charismatic.I am evangelical Christian, born again, and I just read my Bible for truth. I agree that Pentecostal churches and charismatic and many other denominations are not Biblical. Pentecostal denominations look for feelings to justify their faith a lo it seems,t not Gods word alone. They add to the Bible, and we can't do that. The Bible warns against that in Rev 22

God has helped me unbelievably much. If you have ever been unemployed with kids and homeless it is scary. But praise God He took care of me. We can't live for things.I don't care about things.I give my money away. I own nothing but I love God. He takes good care of me. I think Jesus is coming back any day. I can't wait to go to heaven. I live for the next world not this one, and I am praying you will be in heaven too when he comes.

You are wasting a lot of your time on the Internet? Wouldn't it be more productive for you to be out in public handing out tracts and preaching the gospel to passers by?

    Ever done that?

I care about people wherever I go but I don't talk to people who don't approach me first:) I feel that God calls them because he loves them. I do too:)

    Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart
        and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.

But what about your sins? Jesus died for our sins. "All have sinned and come short of Gods glory"

You don't have to go to church to have your sins forgiven. If I am right then what? You can't enter heaven on your own merit. We have to answer for every single idle word we said if Jesus didn't take it on his own shoulders and was punished for it, Almighty God did a mighty deed on the cross.

"How can you escape if you neglect such a great salvation" God says.

"You will find favor and good reputation In the sight of God and man. Trust in the LORD with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding.  In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will direct your path…" Prov.3

Jesus followers were fishers of men. They were to GO to where the people were rather than wait for people to come to them. That's how Paul was able to say that he was clean of blood guilt.

(Matthew 4:19) And he said to them: “Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
(Matthew 28:19) Go, therefore, and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit,
(Acts 20:20) while I did not hold back from telling you any of the things that were profitable nor from teaching you publicly and from house to house.
(Acts 20:26, 27) So I call you to witness this very day that I am clean from the blood of all men, 27 for I have not held back from telling you all the counsel of God.

I agree that we shouldn't judge other people, only ourselves. God says "You who are without sin cast the first stone" And First get the log out of your own eye before you try to get the splinter out of your neighbors. I don't condemn anyone, I try to love people. I am not political. I am not right wing.

If we know it is sin and we do it then it is wrong. When I was first a Christian I was not analyzing myself and I just thought that I was pretty good. I am harder and harder on myself as I mature and what I didn't think was sin last year now I do. It is conscience between each person and God. My standard is to Love God more than anything else in life, and treat others the way I want to be treated. So for me what is sin is when I do not treat someone the way I want to be treated. Someone else might not be as spiritual mature but that doesn't mean I should tell them, or judge them about their behaviors. I am not God. I do think we as a society need to stop abusive behaviors wherever we see it. (physical, mental, or verbal  abuse)

Many hundreds of people if not thousands have told me that my life and witness made them pray and turn to God. I use discernment. But God calls people to himself, not me.

You are telling me that my time is wasted, so I tell you that my time has been very fruitful. Then you insinuate that I am boasting in myself and not the Lord. I am only answering your questions. I am not wasting my time witnessing. I think God puts it on each persons heart how to spend ones time. And I believe that my time is not wasted as you proclaim. God tells us that if we are not fruitful he will not bless us. God is definitely blessing me, and many are coming to the Lord, Muslims included. God is doing the work, not me. Your motive seems like it is to humiliate me. Please try to be loving, not humiliate people. I want God to bless you.

Jesus tells us that we will be persecuted if we follow him, and  that" any arrow against you will not prosper." "Mine is vengeance says the Lord."
