Aww see I approach this from an entirely different angle.. IF you have to actively go out of your way, pretend, boost or whatever to attract a mate/date.. then it's not worth it.. he/she is probably liking you for the wrong reasons and it's based on falsehood.. Better that they are attracted to us for who and how we are than for some false idea or a heavily padded bra :P

Be tall.
Be dark.
Be handsome.

Three things that I'm not :-(

Be affable
Be a nice
Ask them out

Flash a big wad of cash.
Tell her you have a steady, well paying job.
Tell her you have great health insurance.

TBH, I don't like generic questions like this because it perpetuates the myth that there's a certain formula or a way people have to be. If you have to entice someone to go out with you, you're doing it wrong. Sure, we all appreciate things like good hygiene, but that's mostly where it stops. Be you. Be authentic. The "right" person will see who you are and will want to go out with you because they see bits of them in you- they're looking for similarities first. Then, they're looking for complimentary behaviors. If you aren't authentic from the start, you can't hope to create anything real.

It would depend on the person you are trying to impress.   

Taking a bath or shower has got to be up there though.
