I am under the impression that you can't breath very well in either case, or at least a baby shouldn't try to breath while being dunked and twisted repeatedly.

It looks dangerous to me. Just googled it and apparently it is dangerous.

Thank you for your answer Shar to the Rona. Very sad. A quick google search reveals that at least one baby has even drowned from the practice. I've also read that there are concerns with shaken baby syndrome.

The idiots who are doing the dunking pay no mind to the infant's terror because they don't acknowledge it; don't even SEE it.  The idiot adults at the end of the film (probably the baby's own parents) pay no heed to the baby being upset.   That is a very scary disconnect to me.  They are like no-brains who have never had any training with actual live, breating infants.   They act like they are dunking a doll....or a donut.

Thank you Hezekiah. Very sad the way those babies were treated. Obviously it's not just people with sour grapes saying that was happening to babies as there is even video of it.
You are right that it was only after they comprehended things that they were baptized, thus no infants were baptized. Even Jesus wasn't baptized until he was around thirty. The last part of Mark doesn't appear in older manuscripts but I agree with pretty much everything else you said.

texasescimo, you're right, Mark 16:9-20 isn't found in the oldest manuscripts which is why it's italicized. I usually try not to use italicized verses for that reason but wasn't paying as close attention as I should have. Thank you for pointing that out.

I think Hezekiah was talking about followers of Jesus, not Jesus himself.
(Romans 6:3, 4) Or do you not know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4 So we were buried with him through our baptism into his death, in order that just as Christ was raised up from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also should walk in a newness of life.
