What is something your pet does that makes you laugh but other people don't think is very funny?
I have a Golden Retriever named Mountain Dew. People think he got his name because he's yellow like Mountain Dew. Umm, that's not quite how he got his name. He's overly friendly sometimes.
I don't want to get any more. With dogs, you have to have someone to watch, set, feed, let out or something if you ever try to go on vacation. Cats are a little more independent. I've had to put down several dogs and at least one cat in my life. That's hard as they wan't to live, even when they are in pain. This year I will probably have to put down my moms blind dog. Last year I had to put down her other dog due to cancer. Year before last I had to put down my wife's cat due to sarcoma. Year before that we had to take off her cats leg due to sarcoma but it came back. If you get a cat, research leukemia vaccine and sarcoma before getting the shot. You don't need it every year as our vet did and their are different adjuvants, some safer than others. Do the research.
I love animals but we outlive them and if you are soft hearted, it hurts.
EDIT: The sarcoma came back, not the leg.
