True story -------- I think this one girl in high school liked me -------- she was the only girl who would talk to me. Some years after high school, she was convicted of murdering a man.
Barbara. And Kim. Wait, Desireé too. And Leena. And Anna. There was also Helen. Ah, yes, now that you mention it, Gail, Brianna, Dora, Stephanie, Yolanda, Melissa, Wanda & Wendy (twins), Jackie, Trudy, another Kim, Connie, Victoria, Irene and Kristen. (So sue me; sophomore, freshman, junior and senior years encompass the passage of a whole lot of time.)
This photo is not your usual stock photo Randy, and it struck a chord with me. It's very moving and I knew I've seen it somewhere before. I'm sure you are aware that it's a Diane Arbus photo. I saw it years ago in a retrospective of her work in NYC.
When I saw it I was certain it was a movie still. And it speaks to me. As a dancer I know that dancing is fun and a celebration of life itself, except for dancing for money....that might not always be fun. These people appear to be fearful. Thanks for your comment because I would have thought about where it came from for days. :)
Thanks, Harry. No, I wasn't aware of the photographer. Hey, what do you mean about my "usual stock photo"? I'm all over the map with the photos I post!
