Scaling the boilers  of a steamship by hand 'specially when alongside some port in the tropics -part of the job assigned to the coal drags.
Hot, smothering in dust, no ventilation.

Oh my goodness. I didn't know there were such jobs as that Kg. Could you get lung disease from inhaling that dust? Thank you for your reply and Happy Friday to thee! :)

Working a day in there once every few months you would just cough the crap out of your lungs. Continuous exposure like daily one would soon develop lung problems.

Wouldn't that be an awful way of making a living Autumn? Being responsible for addictions and misery and deaths just to make a buck? But I expect for some it doesn't matter what they cause as long as they can make lotsa money doing it. SIGH. Thank you for your reply! :)

Oops Rosie! I misread your question and thus the answer. A lot of times I'm at am when I am somewhat tired and not watching what I'm reading. In this case I know of someone who cleans porta potties for a living, talk about lowly.

No worries sweetie. I agree that would not be a fun job no  matter how much money they'd pay you.  I guess you could wear a gas mask so your sniffer wouldn't be assaulted with stinky smells. Thank you for the clarification! I appreciate it! :) This post was edited by RosieG at November 10, 2017 1:40 AM MST

Sewer diving is a job, I couldn't do, but this man (in video) left his job as an accountant for it. He finds it a rewarding way to help others.
