"I want my country back".. Do Native Americans want their country back from invading marauders who stole it and killed them for it?

Think the murdering marauding invaders will leave the country they stole and return it to the Native Americans from whom they just took it? I mean who doesn't want his/her country back? Right? The problem is whose country is it? The Current Occupiers or those from whom the Occupiers stole it? Whatacha think?

    Around here, the natives got along with the 'invaders'. They traded at local stores. There was a reservation set up with schools and other modernization.  No more starvation and medical treatment eased the lives of the natives. They blended in with the general population. My wife is even part injun.

     I bet your wife is quite beautiful. Native  Americans have great  bone structure I think and are generally very handsome/lovely. Very cool bh. What tribe(s) ? Many decades ago we went to a "powow" held in San Diego. Ever been to one? I don't if the ones where the public is invited would be different than ones they may have privately but it was memorable!     My wife inherited her 'white' mother's features. Her father was the Cherokee side. However, she ain't too bad looking but smoking has taken a toll as you would imagine.

History is full of violence and take over.  What's so sad about the demise of the Indians/American Indians is that their way of life was in harmony with their environment and they used every single part of the buffalo, and it's now been replaced by a shopping mall

    I would rather see paradise turned into a parking lot than be someone who is usurped from all I know and be beaten and raped and worse depending on the whims of my master.

    Oh slavery is much smarter than that today, but don't think for a second it doesn't exist, they don't need to whip people in order to control people, they still use punishment but in a different form, if they can control your mind, they need not control the body, that is where we are different to animals, animals can only be controlled physically, humans can be controlled by manipulation.....honey.
    And this form of slavery and debt slavery enslaves your children and your children's children, work, work, work, because the debt can never be paid off.

    While the American Indian lost the land, were pillaged and raped and killed and slaughtered, it doesn't come near to the treatment the blacks got.

    They were stolen from their homeland to work as slaves.    Tell me how this makes Nazi Germany so horrible?  Tell me.

    White Europeans were also stolen from their homelands in the slave trade.  Slavery is awful no matter what.

    Both Indian and black slavery (yes the Indian men and boys were sold to the West Indies, and the women and girls were kept by the white settlers as slaves), are horrific to say one is less than the other is awful.  To say rape, pillage and slaughter is better than slavery is a bonkers statement to make they are both horrendous.     I read that there were more English,Welsh,Scotish and Irish sent to America and Australia by the English government as slave labour ...it also said they were treated far far worse than th black slaves taken from Africa.....The black slaves were harder workers and thus more valuable so were worth more and treated far better than the white European prison slaves......only the West Indies Indian and Chinese slaves were treated worse that any other......

    all ll I can say is that all stolen things belong to their rightful owners.....

    Thank you, NJ.  But really saying that you were treated FAR worse?  How can anything be far worser than slaves in the South? 

    I know you know what you are talking about to a point, but saying one group got treated worse than the others is not accurate at all.  Once we get to the brink of misery, there is not many trade offs that are better.  Misery, and lifelong misery is misery.

    No matter what nationality.

    And again, no one was treated worse.  Death is death and being near death is as bad as it gets.

    And according to Nice Jugs it wasn't as bad as what the CHINESE GOT.

    So, it looks to me like this.  ....

    How the hell can suffering get worse than a lifetime of indentured servitude where you are beaten and killed at whim and made to suffer an entire lifetime which usually was mercifully short.

    What could be worse?  I am sure suffering is horrid but unless the Chinese were burned alive and made to work with the blisters oozing, I think everyone suffered equally. 

    Humans have NO RIGHT to hurt other humans.  Evolved HUMANS have no RIGHT to harm anything.

They propagate like rabbits unfortunately and pretzelize their children to be mini-thems. :( Thank you for your reply Sharon and Happy Monday! :) Today in America all people of color are at risk as are old people, poor people, sick people and the very young. SIGH.  Only now their monstrous leader validates it and brings it out into the open and just watch. The spineless jellyfish toadies  will pass legislation  that favors white racists just like themselves. We need a miracle. Woe is us until then! :(.

    The people who killed injuns and took over the land are dead. Injuns will not get anything back from them. It's OUR land now, and they can jolly well buy it from us if they want to. We don't owe them anything. They already live in the land that the rest of the world wishes they could get into. 

    The injuns need to forget this "sacred land" bullsnot, stop wearing feathers and playing Peruvian flutes and dancing in public performances. Some injuns run casinos now, and that is at least a step in the direction of the American way. Whether you call it good or bad, we all have to live in reality.     I guess you would have to prove that those tribes did, in fact, "own" the land that was "stolen".

    I mean, once the civilizations that had settlements mysteriously disappeared ... who got ownership of those territories?
    As far as the Midwest tribes, they were still fighting amongst themselves a couple hundred years later to provide that answer.
    Seems to me, that means anybody could take the land - as long as they could beat all other claimants.  Which we did.
