I don't think we were inclined to eat meat to begin with. If you look at our teeth, they are meant to grind, not tear. I think they are here to enjoy this planet and if need be, eat each other. We were made to be grazers.
I do think also, we started to eat other animals because we needed a protein fix. Meat is key for that.

Actually, we're dental omnivores. Intestinal, too. The canine ("eye") teeth are much smaller or completely absent in purely herbivorous animals, and the appendix is MUCH larger. The human appendix is vestigial - we have no need to break down cellulose, it has never been a significant part of the H. sapiens diet.
Nature has ensured that every living thing ,either plant life ,bugs, fish, animal ,the whole of the human race including me including me is destained to be eaten or ingested and recycled by other carnivores ,maggots or fungi..... There is no escaping it even if you are incinerated ..... There is some organism that will feed off of your ashes....
Once burnt by the flames you can go out for food .......it's a meal to die for I think....:)
I do not know the answer but one could theorize He made prototypes from cardboard, rubber bands, potato chips and other materials until finally He found that meat worked best for the application.
