Ever since I joined Answerbag, whenever that was, I've had this avatar. I love it and it suits me well. At least, I think so -- and when it comes to avatars, that's all that matters. :)
It's more effective in a larger size, like on my profile page - - in a smaller size it was mistaken as a polar bear by one Ab-er/mugger. :) And I can see why.

Maybe a week? I like to change my username and avi a lot. I did it all the time on answerbag too and people would complain at me for it (like it matters)
My image is a little over 70 years old, but most of my online history has been on forums where they didn't use avatars, or they provided the images they wanted us to use. So when forums started allowing random images, I had to go find one. The one I use here is me, approx age 3, wearing the same outfit my oldest brother wore for his portrait twelve years earlier.
When I first got on the internet i took the name Wallstar. I pulled that out of the air. It seemed like a word I had seen every day. Then I started wondering just where I had seen it, so I watched for it. I finally found it at work in the men's room. The urinal had a green screen with the brand name Allstar in white. A reflection of the overhead light put a white W in front so it said WAllstar. I had named myself after a urinal screen!
If you search "wallstar" now, you only get water heater dealers.
