What is just cause for disowning your offspring?

If they are a threat to your safety, I say.  What else?

What do you mean by "just"? What do you mean by "disown"?

Say a specimen of your offspring murdered your whole family, all 19 of them - except for you. That might be a reason. Or say an offspring found your stash and smoked themselves silly, were picked up by the Guarda, named you in their statement of guilt, and the police picked YOU up. I don't know anyone who would not be seeking a horrible revenge when the opportunity presented itself.

If they murdered all 19 of my family, all would be forgiven since the killer  will then be imprisoned and I am now sole heir.

Well, as for the second one, the person was stoned.   I cannot really hold someone accountable when they are stoned, and neither can the po po.

    Especially if I were innocent.

I would have made a good prosecuting attorney.   There is no defense against me. This post was edited by WM BARR . =ABSOLUTE TRASH at January 28, 2018 2:08 PM MST

You are supposed to love your children, not disown them. So the reason would have to be severe. Incurable insanity or born without a brain in the head (it happens but they dont live long)

As for other reasons, well, If You raised the kid, aren't you responsible for what you got ? This post was edited by JakobA the unAmerican. at January 28, 2018 2:09 PM MST

If they disown you - I think we would be justified then..

Constant mooching. I don't mean born losers who are occasionally down on their luck, I mean lazy a$$es who don't make an effort.

I swear that instead of "disowning," I saw the word "drowning."

Geez - - and I just signed in!

    I'm out of here.

I wouldn't particularly say I'm interested in such deaths but I also admit to being a huge fan of the TV show "Forensic Files," so maybe your reply is dead-on accurate.

If my offspring were children who would not reform and lived to harm.   Then I would disown.   If there was no hope for their recovery, I would turn my back on anyone who is a deliberate enemy to anyone innocent and vulnerable who may need my protection.
