When you have been wronged, do you ever seek revenge?

I don't.  I feel the most empowered when I have some sense of forgiveness; even if it means I choose to not have contact with someone again.  How about you?

The one time I sought revenge was when my sister pissed me off so I went and hid her hairbrush.  So 'm not much of a vengeful type.

Hahaha!  I am certain I got my sister and brother back, much the same way in the day.  I think it's just part of growing up.

    I agree.

The results of revenge when we are young is usually minimal---like hiding a hairbrush.  (Unless of course you shoot your sister in the back of the head over a video game.)

That's one reason that children should be allowed to (sometimes with assistance) work out the human concepts of revenge and fairness and boundaries.

Childish mistakes are usually not very serious.

There was one time when I was 4 or 5 when I bit my sister because she took my book. I got in huge trouble for that so learned to just be more subtle about my revenge and just do things that would mildly annoy the target.

When I was about 5 or 6, I picked up a rock and threw it at my brother.  I had had it with his teasing.  I had no idea it would make contact.  I got him right on the forehead.  So he immediately came at me, pulling my long hair.  My mother only saw him hurting me, so she came out with a broom to whack him.  Hahahahaha.   Oh, I got in so much trouble and I did feel guilty.  He needed a few stitches too.

It's a great feeling when it comes natural.  The older I get, the more I can do this myself.
