It has always been a crime to be a teenager in America.
They have spent most of their lives in public schools where they have been taught to be stupid. Whatever they think, it is automatically stupid. Stupid is all they know.
That the world has not completely lost its mind. Children are children. They don't know anything about anything. The fact that we consider them adult at 18 is bizarre. Nothing they say should be taken seriously.
The age of adulthood should be raised to 21 and the voting age should probably be raised to at least 25.
Bullsnot. The age of adulthood should be lowered to 13 and schools should start teaching how to act like adults instead of how to find what time two trains pass each other.
We already teach kids HOW to act like adults. They just lack the wisdom, life experience, emotional control, and fortitude to actually DO it.
One thing is certain, we should draw a line somewhere. We should consider someone an adult or consider them a child. We shouldn't consider someone half way between the two. I find it bizarre that some people argue that kids are old enough to be heard on political issues, but not older enough to face criticism for their beliefs. If I'm a bully for criticising them harshly, they're still children.

Adults think teens know nothing because they haven't lived long enough to understand reality. I would suggest that in the case of the Parkland protesters, and all other survivors of school shootings, the adults have absolutely no clue as to what it was like to live through such a frightening occurrence and unless they've been in combat, they never will. Don't tell these kids they don't know anything - they know more than they should and I hope they never lose their resolve to see common sense gun control laws passed. I salute them and hope they can accomplish which too many adults have not been able to accomplish.
It says we have freedom of speech. The students have a right to express their opinions and anyone who doesn't agree with them has the right to express a different opinion.
