POLL: How "available" are firearms to you right at this moment, either legally or illegally? ~

1. I own at least one, and it's either on my person or within an arm's length of me.

2.  I own at least one, and it's within fifty feet of me.

3. I own at least one, and I could have it on hand in less than an hour.

4.  If I wanted to buy one, I could go through the legal process and have it in about a day.

5.  It would take about a week to get one legally.

6. In my neighborhood, even a five-year-old child with the right amount of cash could get one in twenty minutes.

7.  I've never even thought about it before. Now that you mention it and I've given it some thought, I don't really know the answer.

8.  It's practically impossible around here.

9. Two or more of the above answers.

10.  Nine of the above answers/or different answer.

I don't own a gun, never have, don't feel the need.  In NYC, it would probably be very difficult for me to get a license to own a handgun - perhaps easier to get a license for a rifle - I'm not sure.

Thank you, but that's not what the question is asking.

I have no availability of Guns.
My neighbors might have guns but
who knows? There is a Police station
    about 10 blocks away
    They have them
but I doubt they would give me any...

Firearms are by default not awailable to Danish citizens. If you want anything more than an air-gun You myst contact the police and get a permit. That includes telling the cops why you want it, eg: hunting, and if you then use it for anything else the permit is likely to be revoked.

That's the situation in Australia, the UK and most of the civilised world. Not in America, where they love their guns more than their children.

I neither want nor need a gun.  My father tried to get me interested in hunting, but I hated it.  I was only happy to go along with him for the big breakfast of fried eggs, ham, toast, & juice after the sun had risen and the hunt was over.  In reflection, I never actually shot at anything alive.

I own a rifle and a shotgun, but I don't know where they are. I never fired either one. I bought the shotgun because a neighbor punk was making trouble, but just the smell of gun oil scared him off.

    8. I've never had to access the black market, so haven't the foggiest notion of how to go about it. I doubt I'd have the funds anyway, black market weapons are EXPENSIVE.
I can't get one legally, I'd have to name "cause" and don't have a valid one.

    10. I live in southern California. I have no idea what is required to own a firearm. Yet, it must not be so hard since many in the neighborhood own them.
