With all the lip-moisturizing products out there, do you still prefer the original Chapstick, in the black and white tube?

EDIT: Woops! Am I spamming?

No.  I find it gloppy.  I use Neutrogena lip balm.

You're right - - that is good stuff.

    I must love glop.

It's a little more expensive, but it lasts a long time.  I use it at bedtime every night.

Good idea. I should try it.

(Sounds like I'm already being fickle to my Chapstik.)

Give it a try - worst case is you don't like it.

Nope, not at all, it's too waxy. I use it, but only as a last resort. I prefer amother brand that's based on cocoa butter.

I'm batting zero as far as others agreeing with me.

I prefer Vaseline or just mineral or olive oil for moisture.   If my lips are chapped I prefer Carmex.  If I have a cold sore I use Abreva.

"Carmex"! I forgot about that one, too. I'm forgetting a lot of details lately. I've used and liked Carmex before, too.

And I did mean "chapped" in my question more than "moisturizing" once I think about it. I'm not going to change it now, though. This post was edited by WelbyQuentin at May 7, 2018 8:56 AM MDT

I don't think I have ever used anything on my lips. Well...there was that one time I dressed up as a woman.

A GF dressed me up for a Halloween party. Actually, I looked better than half of the women there.

I only went looking for it once and couldn't find it. But there was a flood of knockoffs available.

Yeah, sometimes that original is seemingly hidden in all of it.

When you visit the desert, the first thing you learn is to stop licking your lips. The second is that the best chap preventive is on the back of your hand. That is why I never went looking for Chapstick.
