What kind of sickness or injury can a person use as an excuse for not having their housework/housecleaning done?

My friend and I are both slightly inclined to be somewhat a bit sort of slobs. Or lazy or something.

No excuse needed - - immaculate housecleaning is overrated.

( I can definitely relate to you and your son)

I do a bit of housecleaning when I get an inspiration to do. Just finished about an hour's work. The walls and ceiling look fine -it's mostly just the floor that can make the place look messy.
Friend not son, we each have our own place but same messy habits.

Where'd I get 'son' from? Clearly it says 'friend.' I'm crazy!

If it's your house ... no excuse necessary.

If it's not your house, but it's your responsibility ... the only valid reason would be illness.

We both live in apartments -in any case gotta make sure there is at least no fire hazard - neither one of us is hoarders. Management does inspection annually which is a good thing or the place might never get cleaned up. This post was edited by Kittigate at May 10, 2018 7:08 PM MDT

Just tell the insectors that you are maintaining a healthy and diversified indoor ecology.

My excuse is "I'm an old man. If I don't feel like doing something, I don't do it."

I have been known to skip lunch three days in a row because I didn't feel like getting out of bed.

Sciatica. It's not possible to bend over when it's bad.
