Discussion»Questions»Death and Dying» I read today that there are more American kids shot dead in their schools then army personal killed in war zones around the world.
How many lives would be saved world wide if that ever happened.... It will never ever happen as to many multi billionaire weapon and munition manafactures will loose so much money.....Plus the governments of all the countries where these things made solely to kill will loose countless billions in lost taxes..... Nothing is worth loosing that kind of money for.....
Self inflicted is not the same as another killing you......I can't imagine what it would feel like as a Solider to be ordered to kill another person...some I'm sure might enjoy it,the majority most likely not...... Why do you think that so many soldiers choose to end their lives that way.. .?
I was a soldier once. Every month they call a meeting and show movies of people getting killed in spectacular ways. Napalm is always featured, and there is always at least one flaming person. Such examples are cheerfully called "crispy critters" and the movies are shown specifically to make the men bloodthirsty.
As for why soldiers take their own lives, well, it is a shameful war and there is only one way out.
I've no idea who wrote it.....it's just something in the news papers..... I don't know how many Americans solides die or are killed each year......they are not reported in England.....I've not heard about any English servicemen getting killed either..... Maybe it's something our government don't want broadcasted....
You repeated something idiotic without any verification. The statistic is more students killed in shootings than American military men during the first five months of of the year. You left out a very important detail. This is why people should only discuss their own country.
The penny just dropped to what you are inferring.....it's not only the grammarsauras that needs killing.....it's my iPad as well ....it's the worst ever and god knows how they sell so many....:(
Yes, it is a very sad statistic. But not a fair comparison. Our miltary have firearms with which to defend themselves, our children are sitting ducks if a shooter attacks.
How sad that it still goes on unabated......it's true soldiers have guns....How many permant armed police would it take to protect a huge school facility adequately though.....
I would also think it would be impossible to disarm the America public....... How would you ever know you have them all....:(
