Yes, twice the falls were pretty bad. I was pregnant one of the times. That's not too bad I guess since I've lived in homes with stairs most of my life.... three stories for 31 years.
Yup, luckily I manged to fall back onto my rear and bounce my little butt down the stairs. I wasn't able to stand from the searing pain in my tailbone so I just crawled a bit and lay there til I felt good enough to get back up and hobble to my bed.
That's what happened when I was pregnant, 7 months. I was in NYC and my four-year-old needed to go to the bathroom so I took her. It was up a 20 inch flight of steel stairs in the back of the coffee shop. After she was done I told her to let me go first in case she fell. Well, I'm the one who missed a step and bounced down on my behind. Of course my tail bone was broken but there is nothing to do. It still keep me from being able to sit for more than a few minutes on a hard surface. I've learned to sit with my weight on my thighs which is why I have very good posture. No, I didn't sue. The shop was owned by my husband's aunt's friend and I was fine. Today I would support a law suit. The stairs could not possibly have been within the building code for a third world country.

Ouch! I don't think I broke my tailbone but it was in tremendous pain, I never got it checked because the pain eventually went away and I didn't think there would be anything anyone can do about it anyway. At least I didn't hit my head though.
