Native English speakers, if a foreigner wanted your help in learning fluent (and correct) English, would you be able to do it?*

Some people are good at teaching some things, others are not.

*I'm not referring to formal classes wherein you are an educator, an expert or a professional.
Additionally, I'm not referring to "perfection", because it doesn't exist.

  • "No"  I wouldn't try to teach something that I didn't have a passion for.

Teaching someone your language above a rudimentary level should require you knowing a little of theirs. Anyway its too late for all that. Foreigners get along just fine making you figure out what they are saying. You already put signs and information in other languages so they never need learn English at all much less correct English. They thank you for your tolerance. This post was edited by O-uknow at June 26, 2018 9:58 AM MDT

I've helped a  few people out once or twice but I don't think I would be a good choice for the full shebang.. I am pretty good on English usage and written usage, just not so good on grammar.
