  • "She's got stamina!"   A very wise person told me that about six months ago.

I think I been around long enough  (72 years) and observant enough as well -to say there is probably nothing new for me to learn about people -or cats.

How vicious, unprincipled, and unbridled hate can be.  Really I had no idea before.

Something I already assumed and knew but now know for real - - death messes with the mind way more when the deceased is someone very close. Even deaths from a long time ago come back for visits.

Maybe I don't know anything -- immediately after posting, I'm thinking of many people I knew who died -- some close, yet, some are nice casual acquaintances - - and they all mess with me.

  • Could you please elaborate on the word "mess" in the context of your answer?

Thoughts/words/words not spoken/missed opportunities to do nicely to them/etc. - - memories such as these and other memories mess with me.
Probably guilt in there, too, like your one answer here. This post was edited by WelbyQuentin at July 26, 2018 7:18 PM MDT

  • I think I well understand you, having left many words unspoken myself due to ego, or, perhaps, even fear. And now it's too late to make reparation. Guess one has to accept the past.

Accepting the past is easier if you also accept that you are a human being and we tend to occasionally make mistakes.

  • That if one refuses to be overwhelmed by guilt, it will pass away.

  • Also, that a person who vehemently labels you an ignoramus about something most likely reveals his/her own ignorance, or inadequacies, or lack of experience.

People who call others ignorant, uninformed, or stupid are stupid, ignorant, and uninformed on most cases. I have also learned those who preach tolerance are usually the most intolerant to other beliefs.

Whenever I learn something new, somebody wants to fight about it. I have not learned anything I want to fight about.
