  • I remember listening to that when I was 6 years old.  Man I'm old.

  • If you were six years old, when you heard
    the first broadcast in 1930,
that would make you ninety-four years old.

    Spiderman

(Though I always wondered why he was called spiderMAN, when he was a TEEN.  lol)

He always seemed more "real" than other superheros, in that he was sorta thrown into his role and wasn't sure of himself.

May I Please have more than one? The Pink Panther.  Wily Coyote, Cat Women and Aqua Man.  They still are. :) :)
Since I've grown up my superheros have expanded. I must include Element 99, who still amazes me with his powers.  Randy D. who can smell a mistake that is inhibiting you from truly being your intelligent self.  JA for opening up her heart and sharing her knowledge and funnest for us to play in.  Dodgy/Didgy who was the one who, years ago, responded to me on Ask.com and encouraged me to stay.  He also became a personal friend. Had it not been for him, I would not be here today on this site or any site before it.
But above and beyond all those, my husband, Don. For putting up with all the B.S. shoveled his way from his job and growing with  me.  My parents and sister are a given.  They all possess superhero powers. This post was edited by Merlin at September 17, 2018 4:30 PM MDT

  • I was a fan of Superman, but my favorite was Batman. Batman had to overcome villains without possessing any "super powers". There was sense of the surreal in his facing all sorts of dangers in a big city at night. The stories had a kind of gothic suspense to them. Much like the old Universal Studio monster movies of the 1930's and 40's.
