Ya know... I was always, and am still a very laid back parent..I am very tolerant and understanding.. I listen when they tell me what they want to do and why and if I can see it's important to them I go with the flow.. It's not that I don't worry.. I do.. but I try not to let it impede their progress.. The two older ones turned out brilliantly.. the younger one I am still working on..
The only really protective thing I did was wait up the first 10 or so times my younger son was out later than I thought he should be.. he was over 18 at the time but a mum still worries.
