I'm smiling. So true. They do look like coniferous trees. And the woody part is the stringy part. The needles turn to mush. Maybe I've never prepared them properly. Still, I try to avoid them. I'm glad you like them. They are good for you. :) :)
EEEewwwww. Someone elses is even worse than your own. The thought is making my stomach turn. Dinner is now out of the question.

My brother lived with me for a while and he ate them all the time! I found that opening the windows, leaving the house and returning in an hour or two was the only sane thing to do. :))
Raw garlic on the breath, and the next day the way it oozes stale through the skin.
Can't bear standing in line where someone smells like that. On second thoughts, maybe that's why they do it... :/ ;)

I used to eat something with onions for lunch when I was teaching. I told the students if they come near me I will breathe at them. I don't mind the smell of garlic on folks. It's an Eastern European thing.
