Indeed I am. I am clever at creating new ways to discipline inmates. When I was still a low level correctional officer I was working the the kitchen. An inmate made quite a few breakfast sandwiches. Something they weren’t permitted to do. I caught him on his way out. He was going to trade the sandwiches for contraband. Instead of writing him, which wouldn’t have done much, I made him sit down in front of me and eat every breakfast sandwich. He threw up a few times. Much worse punishment than a slap on the wrist.
Another time I caught an inmate from another cell house in mine during chow call. Again, instead of writing him him up I came up with my own discipline. I made him come to my cell house every day for a week to clean in my cell house. He was cleaning windows, cleaned the staff bathroom, and other duties. I never had a problem with inmates trying to sneak into my cell house again. I almost forgot, I made that inmate clean/scrub the stairs with a bucket of soap water and a toothbrush.
