Should we be able to legally change our age based on how we identity?

A man in Europe is suing to do just that. He is 69yrs old but says he looks and feels like he is 49 yrs old.
Claims is would help him with job opportunity and credit issues (new car etc) And it would help his dating prospects on Tinder.

We could all identify as a 65 yr old and get Social Security, right?

No, of course not. It’s not legal to roll back odometers on cars, we shouldn’t be able to do it on humans either. This post was edited by Don Barzini at November 9, 2018 11:09 AM MST

Can we change our age day-to-day? Some days I feel old. Some not so much.

Apparently it is now our "right" to be anything we want to be at any time as long as that is "correct" politically so why not?   But sorry I believe what is is whatever the government chooses to say is not so I won't play.  Plus have never been politically "correct".  I am 61 and I own up to that just as I will about anything else about myself. But I will not allow anyone to label me falsely only to dismiss me.

    Interesting.

Maybe we should convert to using telomere ages.
    LOL

Mentally, I'm still in my early 20's.
    Physically, I'm 50.

No, we shouldn't.  We are what we are - own it.  Here in the states, they can't reject employment based on age.

I think on this one we cannot just change it.. this is one that's fact.. There are some things however that people 'believe' to be fact but cannot prove that to be so.. it's just their opinion.

Nope. That's nonsense. What would be even worse is if he won the lawsuit. That would really burn the oatmeal. :)
