They do sell them in America....they are a big thing over there....  Once you try them ,you will never go back to Dewalt......So much of DeWalt stuff are made in China ...not all of the stuff they sell is pucker ....:(
My Dad is is a tool fanatic......him and my brothers have countless thousands of pounds worth of Snap On tools ....plus only top of the range tools ......Check out Flex tools....they to are are pretty amazing....they also cost an arm and a leg to buy to....
DeWalt is middle of the range really...:(

I had an original cordless Dewalt drill for over 30 years. It was the first one they made...metal box and all. The batteries finally died and the were quite expensive, so I got rid of it and purchased the one I pictured.

You can reboost a battery that won't except a charge....You need another of the same battery ,(charged ) and link the positive to positive and negative to negative and hold them there for a few minutes and then charge them as normal....The battery should then take its charge as normal....:)

Any dry cell battery...you can recharge any dry cell battery  quite a few times ,just like the rechargeable one.......just stay near them to make sure they don't over heat....better still ,charge them where they if they do over heat they can't do any damage....

I looked up Festool. Yikes. I am not a professional and don't build stuff, so $660 for a cordless drill would be totally out of the equation.

I love all their stuff apart from the price.... A vacuum/hover  can cost from £350 english pounds right up to £1780 pounds plus depending on its attachments...
Their rail saws are amazing to.....they cut sheet material so percsise and accurate......all their stuff is well  balanced as well

I have never had the opportunity to do such things as you and your dad. My interests are elsewhere. I have built things in my younger days...but that was necessary, since I didn't make a lot of money as a sailor. We weren't poor, but if I could make something, I would do that instead of buying it. I was also good at fixing appliances.

I don't think so, but I do get a lot of strange looks from strangers when I randomly inform them about the most common routes climbers use to ascend Mt Everest.
