I'm not a gambling person, especially against my friends but I bet if you gathered all the people around the world and asked who they would worship first, God, Dogs, or Donald Trump... Dogs would be first God would be a close second and the leader of the US, Donald Trump, would come in third.
That would be my prediction. Another nice thing is Dogs don't ask to be worshiped. Go figure. Big winks and smiles!

Neither has any relationship with facts or reality. Both require loyalty and adoration. Neither actually wrote any of the books they are credited for. Both throw their detractors under the bus in the end.

I lean something new about politics every night I"m on answerMug.
You bring up some excellent similarities. I'll stick with worshiping dogs and cats but yours i am tucking away for future reference. Thanks. :) :)

Have you considered that the mind you are so attached to is limited and therefore you see God that way?
There is a reason healthy, long-lived individuals eat clean and meditate. It allows the temple to relax and contemplate. It shuts down the mind. How can you possibly expect anyone to buy into such a small idea?
God is beyond ideas.
It is sad that this is what you have to carry you through. Why don't you get out of that little box of yours and see what is out there? You don't even have to leave your door. Just sit and allow your mind to shut up. Then see what happens after. It takes time. It takes exercise. It takes an OPEN MIND.
I eat clean and meditate daily. It was an open mind that enlightened me to the fallacies of God-belief and the outright fantasies that support it. Clearly, God IS an idea.
I counter that that it takes one who thinks inside a little box to be an adherent to wish-based dogma, selective “logic” and outsized claims absent evidence. Have you considered that you could have possibly been misled in your thinking? We will agree to disagree here. I am at least as certain of my position as you are of yours.

Well they say there is no stone too heavy for God to lift - maybe there is no burger too heavy for Trump to lift so they would have that in common. Cheers!
I have never heard anyone say that. There is the philosophical question: {If God is all powerful} Could God make a stone too heavy for Himself to lift? It's a conundrum, because answering either "Yes" or "No" limits God's power.
