Who coined the term "one hit wonder?" Did he make up any other terms?

Because the term is used in many fields of the entertainment industry, such as music, film making, baseball, boxing and all reported by journalists that love making-up catch phrases that may imply either success or failure ... "I believe the originator will never get a patent on it."

This goes back to at least 1914, as here from the New York newspaper The Middletown Daily Times-Press, July 1914 - in a piece titled One-hit wonder fails to hold locals down:  (baseball game)
